Chicago Private Jets arranges wedding, honeymoon and anniversary travel for clients across Chicagoland, whether the day is here in the city or somewhere the whole party has to reach together.
Getting the guests there
Where a wedding party is traveling together, a single charter is usually simpler than coordinating twenty separate arrivals. Everyone lands at the same time, close to the venue, without the risk that one delayed connection costs somebody the rehearsal dinner.
Above nineteen passengers the flight calls for an airliner-size aircraft operating under FAR Part 121 or a foreign equivalent rather than Part 135, which is routine but changes the lead time. Give us the realistic headcount early.
Weekend destinations from Chicago
Summer weddings pull north into the Michigan and Wisconsin lake country, where the fields are often short enough that a turboprop is the sensible aircraft rather than a jet. Winter pulls the other way, south to Florida and the Caribbean, and that raises the possibility of de-icing at the Chicago end from roughly November through March.
Tell us the venue rather than the airport and we will work out which field puts you closest.
Honeymoons and anniversaries
For the trip afterward, the practical questions are whether the destination has a runway that suits and whether the flight crosses a border. For international honeymoons, landing permits and customs authorizations are arranged after the trip is booked, and occasionally the timeline is set by the local airport authorities.
If you are leaving from Chicago on an international leg, raise it early. The two most convenient general aviation fields clear customs on a weekday daytime window with prior notice, while DuPage and Midway handle it around the clock.

Vetting Behind Every Trip
Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:
- FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
- Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates.
- Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
- Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.
Chicago-Specific Patterns We Plan Around
Two things decide more trips here than anything else. De-icing season runs from roughly November through March and affects departure timing, ramp availability and cost across the Chicago-area fields. Customs is the other: Midway is an international airport of entry and DuPage clears on the field around the clock, while Chicago Executive and Waukegan run a weekday afternoon window with prior notice, and Chicago Executive has no weekend clearance at all. A weekend arrival into Waukegan has to be requested before the end of Friday afternoon. Gary has a general aviation CBP facility on the field.
