Chicago Private Jets arranges travel for family milestones across Chicagoland: Sweet 16 parties, quinceaneras, and bar and bat mitzvahs.
Family travel, at scale
These occasions pull relatives in from all over, across several generations and often from abroad. Arranging that on commercial schedules produces a pile of separate itineraries and at least one relative landing at an awkward hour. A charter brings the family in together.
Where guests are arriving internationally, plan the customs side early. At Chicago Executive and Waukegan, clearance runs on a weekday daytime window with prior notice, and a weekend arrival into Waukegan has to be requested before the end of Friday afternoon. DuPage and Midway are the around-the-clock answers.
Traveling with older relatives and children
Private terminals matter most for grandparents and small children. There is no long concourse, no line and no gate wait, and boarding is a short walk. If anyone in the party has mobility needs, say so early and we will confirm what that aircraft can take. The wheelchair access page covers this in more detail.
Sizing the aircraft
Family parties tend to grow. Give us the realistic headcount, including children, since it drives the aircraft options. Above nineteen passengers the flight operates under FAR Part 121 or a foreign equivalent rather than FAR Part 135.
Catering and the day itself
Dietary needs are worth raising early. Tell us before the quoting stage if catering matters, and we will confirm what the operator can put together.

Vetting Behind Every Trip
Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:
- FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
- Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates.
- Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
- Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.
Chicago-Specific Patterns We Plan Around
Two things decide more trips here than anything else. De-icing season runs from roughly November through March and affects departure timing, ramp availability and cost across the Chicago-area fields. Customs is the other: Midway is an international airport of entry and DuPage clears on the field around the clock, while Chicago Executive and Waukegan run a weekday afternoon window with prior notice, and Chicago Executive has no weekend clearance at all. A weekend arrival into Waukegan has to be requested before the end of Friday afternoon. Gary has a general aviation CBP facility on the field.
